In 2022, I was contacted by Survios Studios with an incredible request: they wanted me to come and be a part of the writers' room in LS for a new Alien game. They were impressed by my novels, and wanted me to bring that same level of authenticity to their work. Needless to say, I gladly obliged.
By the end of 2023, they'd asked me to write the whole game.

Writing a game is nothing like a novel. The actions that I took would impact every other team, resulting in major restrictions on what I could do. Furthermore, many of the set-pieces, characters and events are set in stone, so it was my job to "make it all make sense."
I worked closely with every discipline in the studio, using my experience in software leadership to navigate the hurdles. In the end, I'm proud of the pathos we were able to bring to Hendricks's journey.
One of my most important duties was to evangelize for the game. Thanks to my degree in Broadcast Journalism, as well as years of panels at conventions such as Dragon Con, I was camera and interview ready. We debuted the game at San Diego Comic Con 2024 to great fanfare and a packed auditorium.
