Getting Political

Activating a Great Brand

Aaron Baker is a popular activist with a strong Instagram following, known for her powerful statements and strong digital advocacy. In 2026, she launched a State House campaign, and I had the good fortune to get involved.

Aaron came to the table with some essential graphical assets, but was looking to take things to the next level. Working carefully with the campaign strategy team, I showed them how to use their already extant elements for maximum impact.

Extrapolation into Evolution

I turned their logo and colors into a new visual language that took full advantage of the money already spent on design. Thanks to those efforts, Aaron was able to launch a powerful, distinctive campaign.

The effort spanned Instagram ads, mailers, video advertisements and more. These items formed a unifying effort that other designers could easily copy for maximum impact.

Full-Spectrum Rebrand

A Much Needed Refresher

For AUSA, we needed to show off our major pivot from a service-driven company to a product-first powerhouse. That meant a complete reimagining of everything the company made, from the interfaces to the business cards.

Like any rebranding effort, this one was hotly debated, and it took everything we had to bring it to fruition. As the VP of Design, I worked closely with my Art Director and production team to bring hundreds of disparate assets into line.

A New style for a new Era

It was the 40th anniversary of the company, and they were struggling to distinguish themselves in the glut of defense contractors. As a tiny branch manager in a massive company, my team and I started pumping out compelling visuals of a new brand. Those efforts afforded me the chance to rebrand the whole company.

Winning over the full executive suite was quite a feat, but thanks to that, my new style appeared on websites, buildings and even orbital hardware.
